What do you like best about KöR Whitening?

There are so many great things about the KöR Whitening protocol, but the at home phase of whitening and desensitizing before the in-office session is so critical to success. Most patients experience significant changes during these two weeks, and because of the desensitizing the in-office session is not an unpleasant experience for the patient.

Why did you choose KöR Whitening over other whitening systems?

I like KöR because it works! For most of my dental career, I never really encouraged patients to consider whitening their teeth because I didn’t have confidence in the product I was using. Sometimes the results were ok, sometimes they were not impressive, and occasionally it was a sensitivity disaster. I never had a “wow” result. Patients would be satisfied, but I always knew in the back of my head that the results were not “wow!” Now that I have a product that I’ve seen work with my own eyes, I can tell patients with great confidence that I have a solution for them.

What was your first KöR ‘wow’ moment with a patient?

Probably our first patient, but we have wow moments all the time! We are really diligent with the before and after photography with all of our cases, so there are a lot of wows. Showing a patient the before and after photos and seeing that they are pleased with the results is a great feeling.

How has using KöR Whitening impacted your practice?

For starters, it’s streamlined the whitening options we offer to patients, which makes inventory simple. I only offer KöR Whitening, so the fees and the options we present are simple. I have one assistant that is our KöR “champion”, and since she’s seen all of the results firsthand, she can speak with patients confidently about the product and what to expect. We used to rarely do teeth whitening, and now it is something we are doing frequently.

What are the top 3 benefits from using KöR Whitening in your practice?

  1.  Completing a successful whitening cases makes a patient happy, and there’s nothing better than a happy patient out there as an advocate in my community.
  2.  My staff is happier and more confident about presenting whitening options to patients now. Previously, with other whitening products we used, we occasionally had really unhappy patients with extreme sensitivity. Thankfully we don’t have that anymore.
  3.  As I mentioned before, I’m much more confident offering something to patients that I know will work.

Is there anything else you would like to add about your experience with the KöR Whitening system?

To doctors considering implementing KöR Whitening in their practice: do it! I knew about KöR Whitening for years, I saw the ads, but I dragged my feet on implementing it into my practice. I was a little intimidated about learning a new protocol, taking the special impressions, etc. At the same time, I was sick and tired of charging patients for less than amazing results! It made me feel bad inside!

Finally, one day I told my assistant, “We are doing this. We are going to take this seriously and this is going to be our new system.” We watched the training modules, ordered the supplies, had pre-printed FedEx labels made, and made the commitment that this would be how we were going to do things from now on. We haven’t looked back since!

Also, having one assistant as a “champion” on this aspect of our practice has made case acceptance and compliance much more successful. During the two-week take home phase, my assistant always calls them to make sure they are staying on track. A little motivation equals better compliance and better results!
