My name is Dr. Gary Sapienza and I practice in Merchantville, NJ. I have been more than impressed with Dr. Kurthy’s KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System and products. My wife Rochelle is also our hygienist and whitening coordinator, and nobody knows more than she does when it comes to how far we’ve come with whitening compared to where we started out. I thought it would be best to have her tell our story.
Rochelle: I remember many products and techniques over the past 15 years, starting with bleach-impregnated foam trays. Along the way, we used different lights, expensive lights, no lights, a crystal, reservoirs, no reservoirs, take-home and in-office. We’ve tried carbamide peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, 5%, 10%, 15%, 22%, 35%. You name it, and we’ve tried it! We usually got some kind of result, but I never knew what that something was going to be. The patient’s teeth might whiten one shade, two shades, maybe 10 shades or, worse, zero shades. What was hard for me was that we were charging a nice fee, yet we had absolutely no predictability. We always offered the patient’s money back if they were not satisfied, but who likes to backpedal?
With KöR Whitening by Dr. Rod Kurthy, everything is so controlled, starting with the materials being delivered with cold packs to ensure their effectiveness. Delivery is scheduled only when our office is open so we are here to receive the order and immediately refrigerate the products. The difference is remarkable!
As for their trays, I’ve never seen ones that fit so well – they literally suck down onto the teeth. Once patients place the trays in and see how well they fit, they’re amazed that they barely feel them, and they no longer have concerns about wearing them while they sleep.
I had a new patient (see photos above) who had tried several different professional whitening techniques with little to no result. She was very disillusioned and ready to give up. I asked her to give me two weeks of her time and I’d get her the whitest result possible with KöR Whitening. This patient responded so well that she experienced shade changes even during the conditioning visit. The patient actually called me a miracle worker!
